Sol a civil engineer, a CP, a member of Institution Engineers Australia (MIE Aust)a registered practitioner builder in Western Australia and Sydney NSW Australia, highly experience in project management in a wide range of projects including civil and mining projects, and oil and gas projects in Australia. Dedicated to a lifelong learning and continuous improvement through Engineers Australia, he has completed post graduate studies of Master of Engineering at Curtin University Western Australia and MBA, specializing in Project / construction management, project business budgeting and quality management.

Across his extensive project management and engineering career he has been exposed to all aspects of a project’s life cycle for a number of diverse responsibilities within medium – large and major infrastructure projects.

His experience relates to construction management, with the ability to think strategically and resolve issues throughout project conception, implementation and completion. He has worked under a number of project management and delivery structures including offshore LNG projects, civil and mining infrastructure projects, high rise buildings, hospital, stadium, industrial buildings, high end residential, railways, roads, bulk earthworks formation, wharf, earth retaining structures, deep excavation, earthworks embankments for roads /railways.

He has an excellent understanding of the structural behaviour of concrete, structural steel structures and fabrications, safety in construction and has gained a broad expertise in the field of civil engineering and structural engineering in delivering projects from conceptual design, planning and construction implementation.

Jaime has more than 30 years of geotechnical engineering experience in various types of Civil and Mining projects, and offshore and onshore Oil & Gas projects in Australia and overseas. His areas of expertise include:

• Site investigation and characterization

• Deep excavations, tunneling, railways

• Shallow and deep foundations for multi-storey buildings, bridges and tanks

• Oil / LNG platform and subsea structures and onshore structure foundations

• Port facilities (jetty, wharf, berthing structures)

• Pipelines and associated structures

• Soil and rock slope stability assessments

• Earth embankments, retaining structures, reinforced earth walls, soil nail walls and ground anchors

• Embankment dams, diversion levees, seawalls, reinforced road embankments

• Ground improvement, dynamic ground response analysis (seismic analysis) and soil liquefaction assessment

• Numerical analysis including finite element modelling, finite difference modelling, boundary element modelling, etc.

Jaime has a PhD degree in geotechnical engineering, which he obtained from the University of Sydney, Australia. He has the following affiliations / registrations.

Partner - Construction Operations Manager

With a Masters in Occupational Health & Safety and many years’ experience in mining, industrial and commercial construction environments, Brian brings a wealth of on-the-ground experience and a professional understanding of what it takes to develop a positive safety culture in a variety of work environments in constructions.

Having worked on projects contracted to companies such as Rio Tinto, FMG and BHP, and directly with large corporations such as Fluor and Worley Parsons, Brian has been exposed to some of the toughest environments and complex safety systems in the country. He has also worked with Indigenous construction companies and continues to provide support in this area.

With specific skills in constructions, developing safety management systems, risk management planning, incident investigations, emergency response and injury management, he has provided managers and business leadership teams with confident guidance on construction and safety leadership responsibilities.

Brian has also had business management experience and understands the complexities of running a business and managing small and large numbers of employees.
